Mylene “Mia” Martin

Mylene (Mia) Martin has been traveling around the world since she was ten years old. Her father worked for American Airlines so she was bitten by the travel bug at an early age. Mia started as a Travel Consultant in her early twenties and left in 1987 to pursue her career with a little known airline at the time called Virgin Atlantic Airways. Mia began her long career with Virgin as a Sales Representative covering New Jersey. She was later relocated to Miami and was promoted to Regional Sales Manager for the Southeast US. Mia went on to become Vice President of Virgin’s leisure division, Virgin Vacations. After 20 years at Virgin, Mia and her husband Jack decided to follow their dreams and open an upscale bed & breakfast in St. Augustine, Florida. In 2004, they renovated and reopened The Cedar House Inn. In 2009, after achieving their goal of turning The Cedar House Inn into the # 1 “Best of St. Augustine” three years in a row, they sold their inn. Mia missed her love of sales and travel and in the spring of 2009 joined Flamingo Travel. Mia’s specialties aside from the Caribbean and South Pacific include Europe with an emphasis on Portugal, Spain, England, Italy and France. Mia has extensive experience in cruising and is CLIA Certified. Mia speaks Portuguese fluently and has a basic understanding of conversational Spanish. Mia and her husband Jack now reside in historic St. Augustine and have one daughter, a graduate of the University of Florida, who was recently married and now lives in Stroudsburg, PA.
